Once upon a time, in a colorful land filled with whispering trees and sparkling streams, there lived a little squirrel named Sammy. Sammy was known by all the forest creatures for his big, bright eyes and tiny, brave heart. As the trio walked out of the shadowy part of the forest, they found themselves surrounded by tall sunlit trees and the sweet melodies of other woodland animals. Daisy, feeling much better now, joined Sammy and Robbie on their journey. Along the way, Bella the bluebird trailed behind them, singing encouraging tunes that filled the air with hope and joy.
Before long, the friends reached a sparkling lake that shined like a large mirror of the clear blue sky. At the edge of the lake, they met an old, wise turtle named Tilly. Tilly was known to have been the guardian of the forest for many seasons. When the friends approached her, Tilly smiled kindly and said, “Dear little ones, I see that you have been brave and compassionate today. True courage is not found in size or strength it is found in the kindness you share and your willingness to help others, even when you feel frightened.”
Tilly then told them an ancient tale about another time when a small creature, much like Sammy, had braved a dark night to help a lost firefly find its way home. “That creature did not let fear stop her from doing what was right,” said Tilly softly, her voice steady and comforting. “Remember, my dear friends, that bravery is like a little light inside, glowing stronger with every kind act that you do.”
Inspired by Tilly’s story, Sammy, Robbie, and Daisy felt even more determined to continue their adventure with courage and kindness shining in their hearts. They sat by the lake, dipping their toes in the cool, gentle water, and talked about all the wonderful things bravery could bring.
